Youth Sports Rethought

This article presents a bit of a counter-argument to the New Zealand swimming article I recently posted. Perhaps a shift in approach is a better way to describe it. The so called “American Development Model” suggest a different way to look at youth sports, refocusing the emphasis from performance and “success” and onto age-appropriate development. The approach has been around almost a decade and it has gained advocates over that time. I think this shift in thinking could just save youth sports after all.
